Location:
The Village is known for the artistic colony and flamboyant social life of the Bloomsbury Group at Garsington Manor which was the home from 1914 to 1928 of Phillip and Ottoline Morrell and for the Garsington Opera, which was staged there from 1989 to 2010. There is the Parish church of St Marys and a Primary School. The village has an exceptionally rich network of footpaths and bridleways, including a section of the Oxford Green Belt way, which are maintained by local volunteers and are perfect for walkers and dog walkers alike. There is a friendly pub with a restaurant called The Manor, a children’s playground and playing fields all within a short walk from the property.

The Thornhill Park and Ride, at Headington is approximately a 15 minute drive away with its regular links to London, Oxford and Hospitals. There is a bus service that connects Garsington to Oxford and Watlington. The village of Wheatley is circa 2.7 miles away with its Garden Centre, Food Stores, Post Office and pubs. Access can be gained from there onto the A40/M40, without going into Oxford. The Oxford Retail Park is a 5 minute drive away. There you can find M&S Food, Tesco Store and The Food Warehouse. Aldi and Lidl are close by. There are also many business parks and science districts in close proximity. David Lloyd Club is a 10 Minute drive away.

In the owners own words:
We think you will fall in love with our house as we did.  It is airy and light and we have felt incredibly fortunate to have beautiful views and sunsets every day. Our neighbours on both sides are lovely (both have grown-up children) and we have always felt very safe here. Garsington is a very pretty, friendly village with a good village hall, a pub, a social club and playing fields. There are also a number of clubs and societies to join and a regular Garsington newsletter, with a great deal of local information, is delivered to your home.
